Science Alliance recently awarded Nicholas Furth, the Graduate Advancement Training and Education (GATE) program fellowship. They received a total of 45 applications, which were reviewed by an ad hoc committee of faculty. The applications were scored against the stated review criteria and subsequently discussed by the team. A total of 15 applicants were selected for funding. GATE students will be expected to perform ORNL-affiliated research for the duration of the appointment. The Science Alliance is planning to host a research symposium in 2025. GATE students may be asked to participate in this symposium.
